RestNrilekS on Blogger's Name Card : Should You Have One?

I ve been toying with the idea of having a blogging name card for some time. I am not sure whether such is an appropriate idea or not. I do understand if one blog is a business in nature, or that of certain niche. But, to go with RestNrilekS, a "rojak" in nature, does make me having a second thought.

Ah!! What the heck??

Yeah! I did it again, for the second time. And this time, i am darn proud about it :D (chuckle!!). First was a series of my artworks under the blogspot domain name. Front was the artwork and Back was where i had this dolly illo of me made by Emila Yusof. It was cool. I thought. But later, i found it awkward giving such name card to people). I felt it wasnt true enough to RestNrilekS. Oh Boy! i did feel weird when handing it out together with my business card to architect, contractors and few others. The card design was too much of a child like feeling.

The second design is just right, which goes perfectly well under my new domain name - RestNrileks.com Using Black and Orange as my main theme, i use my own header design as front, and use my helicornia sketch (see picture below) with the words "Creativity at Work" as the back of my card. A loose font of RestNrilekS.com represents my creative sides. A cleaner cut is what i am for - Serious but a bit playful : ) Whoaho!! (Konon-kononnya)

So, should you have a blogger's name card?

By all means, go for it. If you feel your blog is something that you treasure, be it personal or business (this is a must for business), go for it. After all, it will gives an impression to people that you are serious about blogging (serious? that doesn't sound right coming from a person who had been on hiatus). Moreover, giving a blogger name card is a way of offline marketing too, creating awareness and readership. People remember your blog name better, instead of trying to remember where they put that tiny little piece of paper, which you had written earlier. In a way, i find it as a subtle, yet powerful method of an invitation without the hassle of explaining what your blog is all about. A blogger name card will come in handy during that casual social gathering too. Let them be curious about your passion, your thoughts, ideas and rants. And if they find your blog interesting enough, they will stay.

Best thing is, printing a box of them is quite cheap. You can get one as cheap as rm25 per box. Aha, now i am thinking of having a spot UV for my front design. Lol.
