Anyway, I like to wish Selamat Ramadhan to all muslims and May ALLAH bless us on this Holy Month. Amin.

Yes, i know that i have been slacking, AGAIN, in updating RnR. It didnt hit me how bad it might have look from others' POVs, until i was visiting this one blog that i liked. Again and again, i went back hoping the owner would update the blog, (like falling in love - haha) but to much disappointment.. . .

The truth is, i am constantly online reading here and there, but minus the efforts of putting down my thoughts on your comment box. An active surfer but passive reader is what i am. Oho!

Owh! I have stylized my title. Restnrileks on Facebook means Restnrileks blogs about Facebook, if shoes, hence Restnrileks On Shoes. LoL.

Well, today i like to have a say (ohh! nothing significant actually) on one hip social online network aka FACEBOOK (Any social networking will do). As with anything hip n chic, i am sure it will come and go (Hi5, My Space and Friendster linger in my mind as i am typing my entry)

I like Facebook. I think it is cool. It has many awesome applications. I can see my friends, browse looking at their pics, get connected with long time friends, share my interest with others and know what are happening around them.

I also hate Facebook. I get so many invitations. I can no longer see my friends after adding them (yeah like ONS - One Night Stand of "yellow" and then gone forever), see some people who likes to show off (such a turn off - hoho), am constantly invited to share my interest when they never leave me a simple greeting of "Hi." I am guilty as well for filling my FB walls with paid post twitters instead of personal twitter.

With Facebook, i think i have this Love n Hate Relationship.

Since Social Networking has become the new trendy way of life, maintaining a friendship is just a mouse click away. Walla!! and you are done.

Caring for your friends is just a Hug, A Rose, A Care Bear, A Flower, A Choc.. . . away.

Knowing your friends is a just survey away.

Knowing your self is just a celebrity away.. Hey i have much common with Angie and Bradie : ).

Wishing our friends is just a digital pixel away.

Funny ya, sometimes we spend hours and hours on FB ( I used too do this when i was hooked on MySpace) building our online friendship (of whom me may barely know) but seldom do the same for our offline friends.
We build our online friendship with quickewords - The "Drop" and "Hi" aka Touch N Go. And finally, along the way, we lost our ability to use simple and beautiful language in communicating. Everybody can write but not everyone can write properly.

I am not spared of the guilty sin too.

Sigh. I miss the old hassle ways. Calling your friends, writing and sending cards, asking how they are doing instead of emphasizing how my world is important than yours.

I used to love putting my thoughts on greetings cards - a simple meaningful one paragraph that should convey the intended message. Owh!!

By the way, how many Ramadhan Greetings Cards have you received this year? I received quite a number, all of them digitally, without any special words.

Facebook aint that bad. It is a great tool actually. Such a great and easy tool make us forget that building and maintaining a friendship require some efforts.

So, guys, sorry ya if i had to turn down some of your invitations, nothing personal, but i just dont have much time to update all the FB applications. But, i will be much happy if you drop by and say some simple Hello maintaining a 2-way interaction instead a monotonous one. Chuckle!!

I guess i make this short coz i ve read somewhere no one wanted a long winding post. Blog post should be short. Is it? Even if it is a short babbling post? I leave this for next issue. Tee hee.
